Hi everyone, I'm happy to announce details for the next season of Legend Bowl, I hope you can all join in!
The league will be played according to the LRB 5.0 rules, including the 2007/08 Rules Review (the main effects of the review are that Skeletons now cost 40,000 and come with Thick Skull, and Chainsaw Star Players cost 30,000 more each to hire.

New Teams
New teams to the value of 1,000,000gps can be taken from any of the teams listed in the LRB.
Note the limit of 3 teams per team type, egg maximum 3 human, 3 orc, 3 necromantic etc. Priority here is given to continuing teams.
Continuing Teams
You may contiue playing with a teams from a previous Legend Bowl season however note that:
1. Continuing teams begin with no gold in their treasury
2. Continuing teams may not have a team rating greater than 1,500,000 at the start of the season
3. Continuing teams must conform to the 11-player minimum just like new teams.
Playing Matches
There is a 20-game limit for each team in Legend Bowl 2009. Play whoever, whenever. There are no formal fixtures.
Old dog, new dog
For the first time this season we will be trying out a 'new dog' rule where for their first 5 games, new teams who play
teams with a rating 200,000 or more greater than their own will have all injuries, including deaths, converted to
'badly hurt (miss rest of match)'.
The idea behind this is to let new teams get up and
started before big boys rules comes in and the deaths are permanent.
Recording Results
Please hand in or email match results to the League Commissioner (me) at the leagues email address of legendbowlATgmailDOTcom
Keep your own teamsheet and update it (I may look after some for the big babies out there who don't want to update their own)
Wimping Out
You can re-start once per season, by scratching the team you have and starting a completely new one.
The Finals
Finals will be over next year's October and November meetings.
Looking further forward.
At this stage I'm planning to reduce the limit for continuing teams for season 2010 to 1,300,000. A 20-game season should give time for a team to develop into a rock hard group of veterans.
