Blokus, Carcassonee, Catan QLD champs at LXG?

I think LXG would be perfect to host QLD champs of these 3 games, entry fees could go towards accommodation prizes in Albury for the Australian champs.

I've contacted AGE today to see if they are interested in LXG hosting an official Queensland title for this, with entry funds going toward travel support.

I was hoping the qld formats would be as close as possible to the aust format so those that choose to go get some valuable practice.

Neil Thomson confirmed that Carcassonne is done with 2 player games of the 2nd edition, without any of the river tiles, doesn't use the big man, there is no reduced scoring for small cities, and farmers score 3 points per city instead of the old 4.

I'm guessing we won't have time to only play 2's, depending on numbers, but would be good if we could do the rest of their rules.

He is still getting back to me on the exact Catan format.

Blokus is 2 player Blokus duo, done on a smaller board I believe.

I have visited the AGE site and will be using their rules but cannot allow for their format as they run over three days - we have one day.

We will run strictly by all tournament rules at Genocon though. If we decide to run a championship in future ourselves, we will incorporate it into Summer Legends, where we will have 2 days for all these events.

There was talk of the Aust champs moving from Albury to Gencon Brisbane, but according to the website:

Looks like they are moving to Canberra. This means I'm basically definitely going next year.
