Just played this game on Friday night last and I thought it was very good.
The unique part about is is that you can deciide to accumulat a lot of money in corrupt ways however at the end the most corrupt player dies and the winner is the player with the most money from the not-so-corrupt-group.
Dave Morton was the most corrupt player. (Who didn't see that coming.)
I concur - Cleopatra is a top game - especially since I won! Who's the no. 1 Architect in Thebes!
The game actaully borrows the mechanics of a number of other popular games, yet comes up with something fresh and enjoyable to play. It combines elements of:
- Settlers of Catan (collecting resource cards to build stuff)
- Ticket to Ride (the method by which you obtain cards)
- Blockus (the laying of weird shaped tiles)
- Big City (scoring for pieces of the palace as you place them )
Regards,
Keith
